Il governo americano decide di investigare su una serie di avvistamenti di UFO segnalati in Alaska e, in particolare, sulla presunta caduta di un disco volante, temendo - qualora la notizia risponda a verità - di essere preceduti dai russi nel rinvenimento dell'apparecchio. Gli agenti Mike Trent e l'affascinante Vee Langley, assegnati all'indagine, scoprono che l'avveniristico velivolo esiste davvero, ma che si tratta dell'invenzione del dottor Carl Lawton, fuggito dall'Unione Sovietica, che vorrebbe venderla agli Stati Uniti.
